Invitation to participate in short survey: Critical Cataloging and EDI Metadata Projects in Academic Libraries
From Tiffany Henry, Discovery Cataloger at the University of North Carolina Greensboro: “I am working on a research project to understand the types of critical cataloging and EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusion) metadata projects undertaken by LISLibrary and Information Science An interdisciplinary field that examines how physical and digital information is organized, accessed, collected, managed, disseminated and used, particularly in library settings. professionals specializing in metadata or cataloging in academic libraries around the United States within the past five years.
Your participation in this research study will help illuminate the work being done by metadata specialists, catalogers, archivists, and any library workers performing descriptive cataloging work within academic libraries. The resultsResults The section of a research article where researchers share the results from the research. This section takes the results and directly connects them to the research questions or hypotheses posed at the start of the article. Also can be called “Findings.” of this study can help inform and potentially improve the practice of other institutions embarking on similar projects.
The survey for this study is hosted on Qualtrics and should take approximately 3 to 5 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary and you can choose to withdraw at any time. Your responses will remain confidential. Data will be reported only in the aggregate.
