CFP – The Intersections of Open Educational Practices and Equity Pedagogy
This is a CFP for a special issue of the Journal for Multicultural Education. In this special issue, we are soliciting articles from researchers and practitioners that show how educators and learners address these critical questions about open education to center equity pedagogy in their research and practice, particularly in primary and secondary schooling in addition to other educational contexts.
Articles are sought that:
- Problematize open education and equity, providing examples of the limitations of open and when it may not suit all needs or contexts
- Demonstrate applications of equity pedagogy in an open context
- Describe open educational practices, particularly in primary and secondary schooling in addition to other educational contexts
- Share theoretical pieces that highlight traditionally underrepresented perspectives in open education
- Provide qualitative and quantitative research on open educational practices and equity
- Discuss practical applications of open education showcasing ways in which students are co-constructors of knowledge to prioritize non-dominant perspectives

Survey Invitation: Medical Emergency Preparedness in Libraries
You are invited to participate in a survey about medical emergency preparedness in libraries. The following anonymous survey, which should take approximately 10-15 minutes of your time, asks questions about medical emergency resources and training provided by your library. To qualify for this study, you must be over the age of 18 and currently employed in a public or academic library located in the U.S. This study is voluntary, and your participation will be anonymous – although you will be asked to identify the library to assist in collating responses, you will not be asked for any information about yourself, so the researcher won’t know who has taken the survey.

Call for Papers: JIL Special Issue on Information Literacy and COVID-19
The Journal of Information Literacy (JIL) welcomes submissions exploring the impact of COVID-19 on information literacy within all of its forms. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: changing understandings of workplace information literacy in relation to COVID-secure workplaces, home-working, furlough or job seeking contexts; intersections and the blurring of boundaries between education, health and community information literacy; shifting understandings of digital literacy, including related to privacy, surveillance, and digital inequality; information literacy and mental health, physical health and disability; COVID-safe information literacy research methods.
